In March 2023, my daughters and I started what came to be known as MG Designs (Moat Girls Designs).  My daughters and I specialize in handcrafted polymer clay earrings, bookmarks, badge reels, and pendants.  One of our other popular items are the pressed flowers in resin earrings and pendants.  My daughters help with every aspect of the business, from packaging to creating to managing the booth at our vendor shows. 

The process begins with a solid color polymer clay.  Sometimes I use solid colors while other times I mix colors into a marble.  After I have achieved the desired color, I use miniature cookie cutters to get the specific shape I am looking for.  I then bake the clay in which it then turns to a plastic-like consistency.  After baking, I sand, drill, touch-up and add jewelry findings.  I spend a lot of time designing and working with the clay to create unique and beautiful pieces.
